Mabyn (Reeves) Martin Nov. 7, 1936 ~ Sept. 6, 2007 Mabyn Reeves Martin died peacefully on September 6, 2007 at her home in Golden, Colorado. Born in Baton Rouge in 1936, she graduated from Radcliffe College in 1958, and was married that same year to Arthur Wesley Martin III. Over the following years, Mabyn and Art had three children, and lived in various parts of the country, finally ending up in Newton, Massachusetts. In 1994, Mabyn moved to Maine, where she designed and built two post and beam houses in Wiscasset. She stayed in Maine until 2002, when she moved to Golden to be closer to her children. She took to Golden immediately and enjoyed her years there. She loved to travel, and spent time all over the world. She particularly loved Italy, and visited that country seven different times after having learned to speak Italian. Mabyn is survived by her children Ned, Dan, and Linda, and her grandchildren Daniel, Alison, James, and John Paul. A memorial service will be held October 6 at Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden.
